This is one
of my favorite snack in winter time with coffee! You will be surprised how
simple it is to make it! Lets go!
Ingredients:
- 4-5 medium potatoes
- 5-10 curry leaves
- 2-4 chopped green chilies
- 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida powder
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- salt to taste
- 2 cups gram flour
- 1 cup water (approximately)
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
Directions:
Prepare the stuffing:
Boil & mash the potatoes and add in turmeric powder, asafoetida powder,
salt and chopped ginger, cilantro leaves, curry leaves, green chilies. Mix well
and prepare round balls and set aside.
Prepare batter: Mix the
gram flour, rice flour and water to a consistent texture. Add salt as desired. Now take the stuffing and dump in to the batter.
Fry them until golden brown. Serve with chutney or any of your favorite sauce.
